Bill & Julie are so in love and it was such a joy to travel to Omaha for their wedding! You can see that the weather was gorgeous, and Julie made an absolutely stunning bride. This wedding was particularly meaningful as Bill is my cousin, and it has been amazing to see God work in both him and Julie to bring them together in perfect time! Enjoy these photos!
Bri and I worked together in the ER and quickly became friends… I always knew her wedding would be absolutely gorgeous and I was BEYOND ecstatic when she asked me to photograph her elopement just outside of Estes Park in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado! Corey and Bri are absolute models (just look at them!), and spending the afternoon with them in one of the most beautiful places in Colorado was such a dream. They had chosen some beautiful locations and despite 3M Curve being under construction we still got to sneak in for some good shots. We then headed over to Alluvial Fan Bridge, stopped in an aspen grove, and then finished off the evening on Trail Ridge road… if you’re not from Colorado and are like “what are these places” just take my word for it, they’re the perfect places for photos!
You can see how much Corey adores Bri and my goodness is she not a BEAUTIFUL bride?!
I won’t make you wait any longer! I’m honored to share these with you all.
Last summer I took a trip out to San Diego and got to meet up with my friend Ruthann on the beach for a few hours. While we watched the waves and ate our Cheez-its (take me back plz), we had a great chat about life and God and of course, boys. I remember her saying, “There’s not really anyone that I like right now… I mean there’s someone that I COULD like but…” Fast forward to October when that very same someone traveled with Ruthie and some other friends to a retreat in the mountains of Colorado. Late on the last night of the weekend, Benji officially asked Ruthie out! And the rest, as they say, is history, including a cross-country move to Pennsylvania where their beautiful wedding was held. In the last several years of knowing Ruthann, I’ve loved her sweet and genuine spirit, her prayerful heart, and her incredible eye for beauty and creativity. This was all reflected in her wedding day which sparkled with joy, hints of gold, and lovely sage green.
The night before the wedding, southeastern PA was hit hard with a big rainstorm – the outdoor rehearsal got *completely* rained out! As you can imagine we all were on the edge of our seats to see how the weather on the wedding day would be. I woke up early that morning and the sky was blue – and the entire day as absolutely perfect. A true gift from God! I keep scrolling through these pictures because the day was so special. I hope they give you a little glimpse of that as well!
Ruthie and her bridesmaids all made their own bouquets the morning of the wedding! I was so impressed at their ability to whip up these beauties!
One of my favorite parts of this day was how Ruthann so thoughtfully planned everything out, down to the first look with her bridesmaids, sisters and mom. What a sweet moment! I love all of their facial expressions here!
Little Everett stole the show. What a sweetheart!
My assistant Josiah did an amazing job photographing the guys getting ready…
I don’t know Benji well but he is a kind man who has a huge heart for Ruthann. It was so sweet to see him care for her throughout the day!
A few outdoor portraits before the ceremony. Such beauty!
Family photos are always a fun adventure – especially when there are this many cute kiddos! The flower girls were triplets (if you couldn’t tell! ;)) and all of Benji and Ruthie’s family were lovely to work with.
My favorite part of the ceremony was when the wedding party surrounded Benji and Ruthann and sang a blessing over them. I think that’s such a great way to start a marriage!
Weeks before the wedding as Ruthann and I would Marco-Polo about her plans, she would mention driving around to find the perfect place for portraits. She wanted two things: willow trees and an open field. The week of the wedding she excitedly told me that she found THE place and uh, yes, she did.
The details of the reception were absolutely stunning! Steph did an amazing job on the cake and let me tell you the lemon cupcakes were to die for, my mouth is watering just thinking about them!
The reception was full of laughs, delicious Greek food, good conversations, and coffee.
Ruthie + Benji, I love you guys and wish you all the best!
Last Saturday was a dream come true in so many ways! My dear friends, Daniel and Katie, got married at one of the most beautiful places I have ever laid eyes on (and my life plan quickly changed to include building a house on a ranch, lol). Their wedding was a special day not only because I love them but also because I set them up (yes I did, and did you think I would leave that out?), but also because their sole desire for this day was to glorify God and honor His design in the covenant of marriage.
The ranch was stunning in the morning light, and Katie made the most beautiful bride! The guys got Chick-Fil-A for breakfast and the girls got ready in a magazine-worthy sunroom… are you beginning to understand now just how perfect this day was? I hope you get a glimpse of it in these photos!
Daniel and Katie, love you guys and wish you all the best!
Things have been a bit quiet on the blog lately (thanks to nursing school!) but winter break has ARRIVED and so I am back for a short while 🙂 I hope you all are having a beautiful Christmas season full of rest, comfort, and joy in the One who humbled Himself and came to earth in human form in order to redeem us. I’m thankful!
I’m very happy to share some favorites from Mike & Faith’s beautiful winter wedding in Elizabeth, Colorado! We caught just the right amount of snow and sunlight for some golden-hour magic. These two have such a joyful, contagious love! I’m sure you’ll be able to tell just by these photos!
